From three remixes/homage works to the composers Steve Reich, John Cage and Iannis Xenakis we feel how several artists from different fields reinterpret their pieces. From "Reich Remixed" (1999) we listen how Coldcut remixes with electronica "Music For 18 Musicians", how Dj Spooky adapts to his ambient, jazz and hip-hop ambient style the urban atmospheres of "City Life" or how Kurtis Mantronik adapts to electro "Drumming". From "Cage/Uncaged" (1993) we hear how rock and experimental musicians like David Byrne, Arto Lindsay and Lee Ranaldo adapt John Cage's songs to their own style or how Joey Ramone adapts a vocal piece with text by James Joyce.
In "Persepolis Remixed" (2002) we highlight the remixes of three musicians to the theme "Persepolis" (1971) by Xenakis: the Japanese Ryoji Ikeda and Otomo Yoshihide with experimental electronics and the Polish Zbignew Karkowski with sorollosa electronics.
