Rachel Margetts - Yr Lovely Dead Moon

Yr Lovely Dead Moon created by the writer, singer, producer, multi-instrumentalist and performer Rachel Margettsan artist from the northeast of England who lives in Berlin. We will hear some excerpts from her first full-length album, "Yr Lovely Dead Moon", released on October 16, 2020, and also six tracks from the second album, "Don't Look Now!" released on June 17, 2022. The albums offer a melodic yet unpredictable journey, a spoken word mosaic of electronic experimentation, post-punk, electro, jazz and concrete music. Unlike their 2020 debut, compiling years of recordings, 'Don't Look Now' was written exclusively in Berlin. Here, even during the onset of the international pandemic, Margetts watched his adopted city mutate out of shape under the pressure of the oppressive forces of modernity. A world in which hypercapitalism, vicious regeneration and political misinformation threaten more than just creativity.
